Abstract:
IBM continues to advance computer science in the realm of Cognitive Computing by pushing the edge of the human machine interface and machine learning to benefit large organizations facing increasingly difficult challenges of big data and deeper analytics. The products of that advancement, and those key elements of Watson Cognitive Computing are becoming more relevant and important as Enterprise assets. One of the key Watson products, Watson Discovery Advisor (WDA), that accelerates the discovery process, infuses innovation and novel insights, and is making a significant impact in the medical domain. To help us understand the significance of these advancements and their value for NASA, Rob High, Watson Group CTO and IBM Fellow, will explain Watson Discovery Advisor capabilities, recent additions to the Watson family, key enhancements to the underlying technology and architecture, and their potential applications to NASA mission areas.
