Photonics, Sensors and Solar Energy Laboratory

The Photonics, Sensors, and Solar Energy Laboratory of the University of Virginia, at the National Institute of Aerospace, has been built to support research conducted within the Center for Photonics, Sensors, and Solar Energy. The laboratory has capabilities for the high power laser processing of materials, thin film deposition, fluorescence characterization, solar cell fabrication and characterization, optical microscopy, and more. High power lasers in the laboratory include pulsed fiber lasers, and Nd:YAG solid state lasers.
