Development of Diagnostic Techniques for Fluidic Measurements
This project broadly seeks to develop and apply modern, laser-based diagnostics to the wind tunnel facilities at NASA Langley Research Center toward the measurement of flow velocity, species, and thermodynamic state. In addition to advancing the state-of-the-art in NASA LaRC flow measurement capabilities and updating wind tunnel facilities to accommodate laser diagnostics, the data yielded can serve as validation for fluidic computational simulations and the input to future mechanical design.
