Abstract:
This seminar focuses on the free unrolling deployment model of the Heliogyro deployment system. The model and the Lagrangian formalism were used to analyze its behavior during deployment. There are two tests to compare and verify the analysis: air table experiment and high-altitude balloon test. The air table experiment uses image processing to obtain the data from the experiment. The results of the experiment will be presented to compare with the simulations. The balloon test uses a CubeSat that will be launched into high-altitudes, and deploys a membrane. This test will be done in the next few months. The prototype of the CubeSat for the balloon test will be shown.
